Secure Steps accepts referrals from professional sources only. We do not accept direct public referrals. If you are supporting someone who may benefit from accessible supported accommodation, use the form below or contact our placements team directly.

Who can refer

Who can refer

Local authority housing and commissioning teams, social workers, NHS discharge teams, adult social care, registered care providers, and registered charities working with adults affected by housing insecurity.

Referral process

Referral process

  1. Enquire. Use the form below or email placements@securestepssupport.org.uk with brief details of the person being referred.
  2. Triage (within two working days). We confirm eligibility, likely fit, and any immediate risks.
  3. Assessment. Joint assessment with the referrer. We gather risk information, support plan and ID documents.
  4. Offer & move-in. We agree placement terms, move-in date, and initial support plan alongside the referrer and any care partners.

  • Brief description of the individual and their current situation
  • Mobility and accessibility requirements
  • Any existing care package or care provider already in place
  • Risk assessment and recent chronology where available
  • Support plan or pathway plan if applicable
  • ID and local connection details
